The Ashfield House Big Shoot!

A few weeks ago now in sunny June, we were invited to Ashfield House, Lancashire to take part in a pretty special collaborative styled wedding photoshoot with four amazingly talented photographers.

The concept was simple: One amazing venue. One gorgeous couple. Five wedding photographers – each given the creative freedom to strut our stuff. The aim was essentially to showcase some of the unique photographic styles out there. Highlighting how important it is when choosing your wedding photographers that you find the ones that really suit your own personalities and styles.

OUR RELAXED, FRESH AND CINEMATIC STYLE

With the clock ticking and having never met Su and Jits, the newly-wed couple before, we felt the challenge for us was to create images with a sense of energy, motion and fun. Because that is exactly how we approach our wedding day photography. To make a connection, to capture a moment, to find a unique point of view. Ultimately we wanted to create a set of images for the couple that push the boundaries of conventional wedding photography; dynamic frames with the good time vibes.

We really enjoyed the shoot. It was great to get those creative juices flowing – and of course, to catch up with some old buddies and make some new ones too! Special thanks goes to Flossy & Leigh and The Rose Boutique for beautiful hair, make-up and flowers; the other super duper photographers who were a joy to work alongside; Andy Wardle, David Stubbs, Jonny Draper and Neil Redfern. Plus Katie and all the Ashfield House crew too, who were fantastic as always.
