As we prepare ourselves to turn the clocks back. The evenings are already getting darker. But that is the perfect time to take a look back at our alternative-inspired Gothic bride shoot with Legend Bridal Designs. A fantastic collaboration of talented suppliers were on board. We were delighted to be involved and well up for the challenge. So, prepare yourselves to embrace your dark side.
EMBRACE YOUR DARK SIDE
Armed with over two-hundred candles we met up with the team. Our two gorgeous models had perfect hair and make-up thanks to the skills of Duncan Fisher Hair Designer and Sonara Parker Make-Up Artist. There were four lush alternative Gothic bride dresses by Legend Bridal Designs, two vintage-style and two edgier gowns.
A COLLABORATION OF TOP WEDDING INDUSTRY SUPPLIERS
The shoot was originally due to be an outdoor affair. However, thanks to the strong winds and inclement weather there was a late change of venue. With access to a top secret disused church things were getting very interesting indeed. Paragon Floral Designs then provided even more surprises, including an impressive ten-foot flower boa. So there was a lot for us all to get excited about. You can read more about their spectacular floral creations here.
ALTERNATIVE GOTHIC BRIDE PHOTOSHOOT IN A DISUSED CHURCH
The church had no heating and minimal lighting. But the peeling walls and dusty pews became our eerie backdrop. What an amazing setting. The most beautiful stained glass windows allowed small flickers of light to come through. But it was only a short time before darkness prevailed. We found beauty amongst the derelict; history and respect built within the very walls; and creativity in the nooks and crannies. Of course no collaborative shoot would be complete without the compulsory trip to the pub and a chinwag for afters.
We hope you enjoy your extra sixty minutes in bed this weekend. And finally, don’t be afraid of the dark.
