You love proper music, right. But there aren’t many of your fave bands from the nineties and noughties still touring. We know the feeling! Well you might be pleasantly surprised to hear there is a thriving tribute band subculture out there. Revival Music Festival brings together some of the best tribute acts around for a slightly-parallel-dimension weekender to remember. If you are looking for a fun indoor music extravaganza celebrating the indie and rock icons from back in the day, then this is the one!
GET ON YOUR DANCING SHOES – THE REVIVAL MUSIC FESTIVAL IS IN TOWN
Following the huge success of last year’s inaugural Revival Music Festival held at Blackpool Tower, the event has grown in to a two-dayer. 2019 saw the Revival party take over the Norbreck Castle Hotel for the first time. Having seen most of the line-up for real, we were really looking forward to watching the tributes perform some of our fave tunes live. Armed with our cameras and backstage passes, official event photography quite literally never sounded so good! Mad fer it!
5K!
Kicking off the Americana-themed day one were 5K! Any late-comers will have missed an awesome, energetic show of pop-punk, ska and nu-metal covers to get the party started. We hope to catch them at a wedding some day too!
Faux Fighters UK
Foo Fighters tickets are like gold dust these days. But we all need a little rock ‘n’ Grohl in our lives. Loud and very well-rehearsed, Faux Fighters UK played all the best of Foo!
Green Date
Friday night headliners Green Date performed hits from Green Day’s extensive back catalogue. An action-packed and passionate punk-rock set that got all the basket cases going!
Parka Monkeys
Roll on Revival Music Festival day two. Revellers were treated to a fab opening set from local band, Parka Monkeys, jammed full of non-stop indie bangers from the nineties and beyond. Looking forward to seeing these guys gigging again soon!
Antarctic Monkeys
Featuring top tunes from all six Arctic Monkeys’ albums, the Antarctic’s took us on a musical rollercoaster. Obviously the early hits go down the best. An indie disco wouldn’t be complete without losing your shizz to I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor!
The Complete Stone Roses
Manchester in the area! From the opening bassline riff of I Wanna Be Adored to the closing bars of I Am The Resurrection, The Complete Stone Roses had everyone hooked. An awesome set of pure monkey magic!
Oasish
With the Madchester vibes kicking in big time, multi award-winning headliners Oasish swaggered on stage. (Flashback to G-Mex 1997!) Every detail was spot on. The clothes, the guitars and the rock ‘n’ roll star attitude. Every one had a blast singing along to all the classics.
Bring on Revival Music Festival 2020! As you were. X
If you are planning a wedding and hiring a live band like any of these guys, we want to hear all about it! So get in touch. Let’s chat about the good times to come!
