When Melissa and John were beginning to make plans for their special day, they had already been guests at not one, but two of our past couples weddings. So it really was fab to meet up again when they wanted us to be part of their day. We were lucky enough to enjoy the glorious weather on Blackpool promenade for Melissa and John’s pre-wedding Me and You Shoot. You can check them out here. Almost as if we had planned it, there were also beautiful blue skies again for the big day.
STANLEY HOUSE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS
The bridal party all got ready at Stanley House Hotel, set in the beautiful Ribble Valley countryside in Mellor, Lancashire. We were also secretly looking forward to seeing the bridesmaid’s awesome swing dresses. They had been made by our buddies, Legend Bridal Designs and we were not disappointed. The girls were rocking matching royal blue dresses with blush red petticoats.
There was a classic Rolls Royce to whisk Melissa to the ceremony at Sacred Heart Church. She looked amazing in her dream dress walking down the aisle. After the confetti, it was just a short ride back to Stanley House boutique hotel to sip champagne in the sunshine and for the party to start.
COCKTAILS AND DREAMS
After the funniest speeches we’ve ever heard, the Jonny Ross band started rocking and the evening guests arrived ready to dance the night away. Melissa and John had concocted special mini-cocktails as wedding favours. From what we heard, there’s probably nothing quite like the taste of a ‘Birkenhead Slammer’!
So we hope you enjoy some of our faves here:
